Adidas brand unveils their 2017 “Black History Month” collection. This year the aim is to pay respects and homage to the legendary Arthur Ashe. Ashe was a prolific tennis player and a black philanthropist. He was amazing on and off of the courts, as he set world records in tennis while battling civil rights off of it. He also took a stand against immoral actions all across the globe. He will always be remembered for an amazing talent who had an even bigger heart. Adidas has created 3 brand new models to show their appreciation.
The D Lillard 3, D Rose 7, and Harden Vol. 1 will all be apart of this years collection. The Lillard and Rose editions will have a classic white and black outfit as that resembles the performance gear that Ashe wore during his heyday. The Harden model will have a Primeknit graphic located on the upper, as the rest of the sneaker matches the other two models. Some other special features will include Arthur’s initials in “AA”, and also a graphic that represents his Wimbledon victory.
Check out all 3 historic editions, and be prepared for a January 23rd release date.
