Nike will finally release the first ever Paul George signature sneaker this weekend.  The “Shining” colorway will be dressed in a black on black color scheme that will be filled with intricate details.  One of the more interesting aspects of the sneakers comes from the set of numbers located on the medial sides of the shoe.  We now know what those numbers represent and it may be some insightful but upsetting news for those looking to pick up a pair tomorrow.

The first 8 digits will be the same for every pair.  The numbers “661” represent the area code for PG’s hometomwn of Palmdale,California.  The next two numbers are “90” and that represents his birth year in 1990.  The next three numbers are “317” which is the area code of Indianapolis, Indiana where the Pacers play.

The final set of numbers will differ on every single pair.  They will range from 1 –  12,000, as there will only be 12,000 pairs made worldwide.  With that being said, it will be a very limited release.  The inner city of Indianapolis where Paul George plays will receive less than 1,000 pairs in total.  Hopefully you already have yours secured, and best of luck to being apart of George’s legacy.  Check out the images below, and stay tuned for any updated news or reports
