Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert started the stock market for sneakers. He used this as an opportunity to cash in on the blossoming sneaker culture and business. We’ve been speculating all week about the retro return of the Nike Air Zoom Generation. We finally received confirmation last night via social media from “King” James himself. Now there will be a special edition auction that will allow for a select group of people to receive their pairs early.
Stock X teamed up with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Nike by the way of LeBron James to deliver a coveted auction box. This box will include a full hardwood court replica of the Quicken Loans Arena. It will also have a replica championship ring from the teams title run last season. Last but not least, the package will also include the sneakers themselves.
There will be 23 packages of the Nike Air Zoom Generation. And there will be 23 packages of the Nike LeBron 14 “Out Of Nowhere”. Each and every package will be sold auction style directly from the Stock X website. The bids will all come to an end on Thursday of this upcoming week at 9 PM EST. After that 46 people will have a coveted piece of history. The general release will still happen on January 25th for $175 dollars a piece.
